Resolve
The same company appears five different ways in five sources. Resolve recognizes them as one, and leaves the uncertain cases to a person.
Without a single identity, analysis is impossible: the builder winning contracts, the one in the company registry and the one in the press look like three different firms, and the links between them are lost.
Resolve applies fixed rules, in this order: the same valid tax ID is the same entity; two different tax IDs never are, even if the name is identical; and with no ID to decide, it compares names stripped of legal forms and accents, with abbreviations expanded. It normalizes, deduplicates and links every record to a single Entity Engine profile, with the lineage of each data point traced back to its source.
A similar name with no identifier is only linked automatically if the similarity is 95% or higher and no other candidate is close; everything else goes to human review, with its score and its reason. That is slower than guessing, and it is why the profile can be signed off.
What it delivers
- Same tax ID, same entity
- Different tax IDs are never merged
- Normalization and deduplication
- Lineage of every data point back to its source
- Uncertain merges sent to human review, with score and reason
