Privacy and civil liberties

A platform that connects people, companies and territory can be used well or badly. These are the limits Serendyp sets for itself and requires of those who use it.

Sources

Serendyp works with public and official sources, and with the data each customer provides about its own operations. Every data point shows where it comes from.

Purpose

Each user accesses the platform for a stated purpose, and each query records its reason. No use is enabled without a legitimate, defined purpose.

Audit

Who looked up whom, when and why is kept in a chained log that neither the customer nor Serendyp can alter afterwards.

Human review

Doubtful identity merges and sensitive decisions go through a person. An alert is a lead to be reviewed, not a conclusion.

Applicable law

Serendyp is designed to comply with Chile's Personal Data Protection Law (Law 21.719) and its equivalents in each country where it operates, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection.

Uses we do not accept

We do not sell or configure the platform to monitor journalists, human rights defenders or political opponents for their legitimate activity, or to profile people by their origin, religion, orientation or opinions. We may decline a customer or terminate a contract if the use contradicts these limits.
